Another good Raoul Walsh film. Errol Flynn plays a Daniel Plainview type, except the film offers redemption instead of madness. But it's interesting along the way, with characters who act believably in their self interest and who end up warring in chaos.

In "Silver River," Errol Flynn lends his signature suave demeanor to a role that diverges from his usual heroics, casting him as an antihero. This shift alters the dynamic, rendering the character interactions somewhat tense. While not among Flynn's most stellar performances, the film remains a piece that one can still relish viewing.

A very Hollywood kind of morality play. Somewhat interesting early on, but gets tackier as it progresses.

Errol Flynn, high and low, as a entrepreneur all over the old west with Ann Sheridan as his key goal. Not as extravagant as it wasn't to be, but there's certainly a lot of qualities at display. Perhaps relies a little too much on that Errol Flynn charm, though, I can't fault them for going that route, knowing how effective that has been in the past.
