Sincerely Louis CK

A hell of a come-back, much better than his previous Netflix special -- he's retained his edge and his amusingly misplaced misanthropic anger, but he also masterfully handles the more personal topics in his set (the "sexual assault" cases, his mother dying, falling in love) and never allows the pathos to replace the comedy, but keeps them level as he can find great laughs out of just about any topic. Also, like Dave Chappelle (and unlike Brendan Schaub), he fits in an appropriate Asian accent.

A master of his craft in yet another hour crammed with exciting, witty, striking, gutsy, memorable and extremely rewatchable jokes. His flow and delivery are absolute perfection, yet even more remarkable is how he holds the crowd in the palm of his hand. I'm always fascinated by the associations his mind makes when he suddenly strays far away from a topic and then circles back, but here he takes it to the next level by using it as a powerful tool of tension and release, a self-standing comment.

Still not a big fan of Louis CK, nor of his humour. Some of his jokes were a bit too lazy or he dragged them too long, as usual. But a third of his show was actually pretty funny. For a first special in 3 years, it wasn't too bad.

Fuck everyone that made me wait for it so long.

Back after his (well-deserved) forced hiatus, it's obvious Louis has had time to prepare and his new stuff is as funny as ever before, with immaculate delivery.

This was weird. I don’t care about Louis’ personal life. The accusations mostly seemed like BS. So I went into this ready to see my favorite comedian kill it-but that never happened. Louis' changed. This is bland comedy. His act has become kind of schizophrenic, teetering between gratuitous anger and boring or apologist. It’s not comfortable or clever. The black cloud is clearly still hovering and he’s no longer the same unabashed, confident comedian. Not awful but by far from his best.

You know what? I'm happy he is back
