Singing Guns

Singing Guns (1950) is a novelty western, featuring the first of two lead roles singer Vaughn Monroe got in Hollywood. Can't say he was a great screen presence, but he took the task serious and therefore this doesn't feel like a mockery. This earned a Oscar nomination too for the theme song "Mule Train" sung by Monroe. The plot is a little more elaborated then the usual B-western set-up and the scenario worked quite well for me, being entertaining all the way.
