Love and money, and how it effects the relationships. Chester Morris and Carole Lombard are sweethearts, but the girl is worried her man isn't making enough money to marry him so they break up and basically become kept man and woman to more wealthy partners. It's a slow moving melodrama that never catches fire in any way. Even the brief appearance by Cary Grant couldn't save this from being a dull experience.
