Skin Deep

Interesting turn from Ritter who I remember more strongly from his later years than the Three's Company woman's man. Was he a woman's man in Three's Company? I don't even know (though I'm old enough that I should). Either way, this is light on the laughs it needs but generally pleasant. When you're putting in a surprise random ass John Ritter fourfer on a Tuesday you can expect anything and everything to be surprising. I assume at this point I cater to absolutely no one.

if i were blake edwards and casting time came around i would not have said "get me john ritter, this movie NEEDS john ritter." i'm sure he didn't either, but i'd guess that when ritter showed up edwards laughed so hard at the absurdity of casting him in this role that he couldn't have said no. as far as quality goes ritter actually did a great job and i was impressed with edwards for having penned a such a decent and dark script so late in his career.

I practically always drop what I'm doing to watch this wonderful sex farce. It's unfortunate the soundtrack is so monotonous and repetitive however.

John Ritter as a bumbling, womanizing drunk is quite remarkable. The rest of the movie and cast are merely fun.

The big problem with this film is for a comedy there are very few laughs. Most of the characters are not interesting in this movie. Overall this film is a big disappointment.

Found it trite, dull, and pretty annoying.
