Slow Burn

It's essentially Rashomon and the Usual Suspects combined into one film. Ray Liotta is the main reason to see this film. Taye Diggs does considerably well in his role. LL Cool J however has some lines that are just laughably ridiculous ("she came in smellin' like mashed potatoes and everyone wanted to be the gravy." Who in the hell wants a woman that smells like mashed potatoes?). It's OK but not worth seeing more than once.

Awful writing makes for an awful film. For such a talented actor, Ray Liotta makes a surprising amount of bad movies.

The story's a bit of a mess but everyone gave solid performances and the sexy Jolene Blalock was nekkid a lot so bonus points for that.

Suspense reasonable. Pass the time, but is not a great movie.
