Small Town Murder Songs

All the pieces are there, but it spends so much time on mournful slow-motion-music-video interludes that the characters are never given enough space to breathe.

It's kind of a bore. The film attempts to add a sense of mystery and internal conflict to the straightforward murder investigation but it just doesn't get it right.

Some movies come out and they're so sparse and boring that lesser-minded critics assume that it has some sort of point, or message. This doesn't.

This film doesn't offer much more than you would get from Law & Order or any other Crime show on television. In fact, it offers less than some of the good episodes of those. That just about sums it up, it feels like a typical detective show with nothing special to offer. The ending isn't much of an ending, and the case doesn't do much other than lengthily move along the character's plot. Actually, the reason this movie falls short is just because it fails to tie up anything well.But not bad
