Smart Woman

Robert Ames (who died later in 1931) has found a new love and tells his wife Mary Astor that he wants a divorce. Events leads to his gold digging girlfriend and her mother to spending the weekend with the two and Astor starts her game in winning back her man by bringing in John Halliday to play her own lover. Edward Everett Horton is there to bring the comedy in this 'modern' marriage predicament and it becomes a okay troubled love story even if it's all a bit too sophisticated.
