A fun but forgettable entry in the genre. Some fantastic framing and a great opening sequence - crafty, exciting, well-shot, it's almost like the opening to a Bond film in this regard. The characters are either too clear-cut and boring, or the morally ambiguous characters seem to suffer the least satisfying arcs and conclusions. Action sequences are great. Overall though, the film doesn't do enough with its themes and the score is overbearing. Not the best you can do if you want a Western.
