When successful single lawyer Rachel (Ginnifer Goodwin) learns that her best friend, Darcy (Kate Hudson), is engaged to Dex (Colin Egglesfield) -- the same guy she's pined after for years -- she's determined to maintain her loyalty. But things don't go quite as planned. Instead, she and Dex wind up in bed on the night of her 30th birthday party. Not surprisingly, the fallout from their romantic "slip" generates awkwardness for all concerned.

Holy shit, please kill me now. Not only are almost all the characters unlikable, but they are just terrible people. Even the one likable character who I will call Jim Halpert because that is the roll he plays in everything (type cast much) was a terrible person. On second thought, don't kill me, I'm already on it.

This movie lacks a backbone (inside joke for all my fellow viewers). Jim from the office changes his name to Eugene in this and becomes friends with Ginnifer Goodwin. Jim's dry humor was the only thing that kept me watching, especially the badmitton scene in the Hamptons. Overall the rest of the film is horrible, but {SPOILER ALERT} sadly I was too lazy to wake up during the credits, and found out that there is somehow going to be a sequal to this story.

In spite of solid performances from Kate Hudson and John Krasinski, Something Borrowed is an unpleasant misfire that lives down to its title.

Even more cliched than usual for this type 'romantic comedy'. Disappointing, to say the least.

All I wanted after watching this movie was a Heineken. Don't know why, though.

Didn't make me hate myself or women, and renewed my love for Krasinski. All 'round, not bad.

This film is a cluster of bad plots. The script had a good idea buried somewhere in there and even that left the writers no out. Pass up on this, even if you do like the people in it. Because I did too...

Predictable, full of clichés, like most romcoms. Not as bad as other reviewers make it sound.

Overall not bad for a chick flick. Everyone cheats on each other, everyone is kind of an idiot, but somehow I didn't hate most of the characters. John Krasinski is by far the best part of the movie, even though his character is severely underdeveloped. No spoilers, don't worry, but the ending lost this movie some points for sure. The writers were so cocky that they teased a sequel thinking it was guaranteed, not even bothering to tie up loose ends, as though it would rope you in for the next one

Krakinski, and the fact that Ginnifer Goodwin has a certain charm, are the only rays of light in this disaster. It had the potential to be passable, but it's such a clusterfuck of horrible plot points. Who loves who? Who cares. Kate Hudson is unbearable and honestly the biggest problem was that I did not buy that any one of these characters wanted as much as her acquaintance. Oh, you have to break up your friendship with this horribly annoying person to be with the man you love? Win/win. What?

John Krasinski is the only redeeming factor to this movie, and even his character got unnecessarily shoehorned into the romance.

So unfunny I forgot it was a comedy while watching it. All except Krasinski's character is annoying and easy to despise. A romantic comedy should be romantic and funny, 2 things that this movie is not.

"Here we go again: big lies swell and then pop in a flick that's one-hundred percent adherent to the shiny, colorful Warner Brothers rom-com style guide."
