Something to Do with the Wall

In 1987, the infamous Berlin Wall is still standing and serves as the face of oppression for many in West Berlin; Ross McElwee and his wife Marilyn Levine visit the wall and meet many colorful characters. Three years later, the wall comes down and the two filmmakers return to the scene of their original footage to film a new, happier ending. (Summary by Bandy)
