News flash ladies: guys don't like you if you are intelligent and have hobbies. They also only date younger women and if you are over 50 and single you are doomed to be alone. This movie just conveys a horrible message. Guys don't like smart women? Since when? The message in this is just so trite and wrong that it's infuriating. And the bland cookie cutter ending is so fuckin bad it makes you wish you had those 2 hours back. Also every scene with Keanu is very very painful. God.

As a person in love with rom-coms, this is bit of a heavy on the drama side rom-com targeting a little higher age group, Keaton and Nicholson are awful in the scenes when they are not together but when they're together, they just rock, still I got quite bored, had its moments but overall, not for me..

I feel that I am forced to watch this movie way too much, and because of that it is penalized in its score. If I had possibly only seen it once maybe it would have gotten a 70.

Ever desired to see Diane Keaton's 70 year old floppy beagle eared tits? Me too. In all seriousness this wasn't actually that bad. It's standard rom com formula but with the twist of it being delightfully quirky old people.

Extra points for American movie with older people finding each other and having sex after menopause, though that was not a surprise from the start. Extra point for Keaton for showing herself naked (or anyway, for somebody who did it at that age, if it was not her). Keaton was nice (well, except the crying part) and Nicholson was... hmmm... Nicholson. If his maneuvers are enough, you'll like it.

Nancy Meyers is such an uneven director. Terrific Hollywood moments--mostly from Diane Keaton--some some big missteps (the ending involving Keanu Reeves!)

Fantastic movie about two older people who after years of searching for true love gave up and then they found each other. The music, the location, the script is all fantastic, in my opinion. One of Nancy Meyers' best.

No idea why, but I saw this at the cinema when it was released (actually, I did have a bit of a 'thing' for Amanda Peet). Lots of star power, but they're not given much to work with in terms of the script and Meyers' directing is obviously lacklustre.

If you gave me a million guesses as to what song would be in the opening of a film starring Nicholson and Keaton, I would have never guessed Crazy Town's "Butterfly". This is a romcom existing in a fantasy world, but y'know what, it made me feel nice afterwards. That has to count for something.

This movie got one Oscar nomination. And its rare than one may enjoy from romantic comedy made to mid-age viewers. Nancy Meyers has done great work to keep everything together and not getting too cheesy.

Classic Meyers - entertaining, light-hearted and seemingly realistic, but on second thought definitely not. A young, smart, good-looking doctor falls in love with an older woman and then proceeds to give up on her to an older, egoistical immature man while on a romantic trip in Paris? Sure, why not. Furthermore it is too long and noticeably goes downhill mid-way. Also you have to wonder what message is the film trying to convey too, if any.

Don't know whats worse - the half-assed woman-pornly setting and characters (put down your pitchforks, woman-porn isn't bad - except when it's fucking lazy), the boring excecution or the fact that Nicholson clearly thinks he's George Clooney ... at least thats the only reason anyone would ever think this would work.

OH MY GOD EVERYONE, OLD GUYS DON'T LIKE WOMEN THEIR AGE! IN FACT, THEY OFTEN DATE MUCH YOUNGER WOMEN! Everything in this movie is predictable, boring, and cliche, and at this point, the thought of Jack Nicholson as an aging Lothario makes me physically ill. Diane Keaton needs to stop making these shitty romantic comedies.

On the one hand the acting is quite good, even Reeves, and the idea of a romantic comedy with leads on the other side of middle age is an interesting one. Unfortunately it falls back on conventions so much that it completely undermines its originality. It's decent, even good, but ultimately disappointing.

If you close your eyes and pretend this slow, redundant and unfunny romcom is a highly spirited surreal journey from a delusional filmmaker who apparently believes the world is comprised of million-dollar homes, boring millionaires with boring life dilemmas and that France is a neverland-like place where you can hear La vie en rose all day long, you might get some joy out of this turd. I get the point, so Nancy wants to date younger guys just like Jack does with girls, so what else is new?
