Space Chimps

Not as bad as I expected. It had a Bowie reference!

Flat and largely dull animated film is nicely animated (though unremarkably so) and marked by a fairly bland voice cast, who try their best at some wacky characterisations to keep their kiddie targets entertained, but don’t really work to engage any of the over-10s. The truly repellent design of the aliens make this an aesthetically difficult experience at times!

Space Chimps has an interesting premise that goes nowhere. The jokes are flat and stupid and the animation is awful. The voice cast does their best, but they can only do so much.

Lip-sync, facial and especially mouth and eye animation are great, human characters perfect. Unfortunately everything else is bull. Master alien lifeform and their activites are revolting to watch. A light-headed and the monster in the dungeon are ingenious though. Again great mouth and eye animation. Alien planet is mostly booring. Story and slap-stick humour intolerable.

How many helpful weather forcasts went uncalculated due to the processing power being used to generate this stuff? Terrible premise, think planet of the apes for the under fives ... Aweful

the plot was memorable and so were the character designs but thats because this film gave me night terrors as a kid

It's better than I thought, the alien life is pretty original, so is their story, the chimps are people in costumes. just another okay animation with nice modelling and animation. Vanguard should stick to English voices.

I expected this to suck but like Chicken Little it suprised the hell out of me. As always Patrick Warburton proves to be a mark or quality. First half isn't so good, but the second improves on it. Couple of good geeky refrences in there and it's just fun really. Oh and it finishes with a Barenaked Ladies track which is nice

Tripper's Choice Award 2008. The 'far-away planet' looks like somewhere you'd go after eating the whole bag of shrooms. The jokes are hit and miss with a few good lines mixed in. Overall I was chimpressed.

Hated it. The only decent thing about this movie was Patrick Warburton's voice. That's it.

This is one of those movies that can only really be watched once. It's not horrible, but there's not much going for this film.
