Spawn of the Slithis

Slithis, or Swamp Predator as I affectionately named him, moves quickly enough when he's attacking people (his favorite move is eating women's faces off) but the story plods along so slowly they should've named this Slothis. We watched it in HD which can not be what they envisioned when they first made that advancement in viewing capabilities.

I didn't mind the obviously low budget, the bad acting, or the distinct cheap '70s TV movie look but I had trouble with the pacing and the fact that I was bored through most of it.

Some amusing camp in the first 20 minutes but then the rest of the movie is this really dull string of exposition and investigation. The main monster itself is this laughably slow fish man who kills people in the most inefficient way imaginable, with all of his victims being stupid enough to somehow fall into his hands. It's definitely campy, but the camp just isn't funny or is prevalent enough to carry its schlock.
