Ueda follow up to 'One Cut of the Dead' doesn't rely on a special shtick and rather promises a funny heist comedy about people in over their heads and the idea of overthinking everything. The final scene is totally unnecessary and might ruin the entire movie for you.

This is an enjoyable heist comedy with multiple layers, and as such I'd recommend it. I only felt that the villainous cult was too silly to be threatening and not silly enough to be truly funny.

I had to see this, as I loved Shinichiro Ueda's previous work (One Cut of the Dead). I thoroughly enjoyed this movie too, but at the same time I could not help but feel this was a weaker and less funny version of One Cut of the Dead.
