An overlong average tier Black Mirror episode. A HUGE waste of a potential horror comedy. (Think Shaun of the Dead but in a mood drug research facility!) They could and should have gone absolute bonkers with testing the different drugs on the inmates and causing havoc between them and the staff. Now it was played straight and it ended up being meh - mixed with some good ol’ classic homilies of “man should not play God”, “science scary” and “repent and all shall be forgiven”.

Excellent idea with endless potential wasted. Hemsworth miscast along with a few others. Disappointing.

Another okay Netflix sci-fi movie. Watching Hemsworth go from charming/likable to corrupt Big Pharma CEO was probably the best part. Dude can just play bad guys well. Aside from that, a decent plot, decent visuals and decent acting from everybody else. But as much as it tried to hammer sympathy into the viewer, it kind of fell flat. I just think that there was so much potential here that was largely untapped.

Excellent soundtrack and entertaining enough but this is another thrown together project from netflix. Babybrain story and middling performances. It wears its influences so on the sleeve, that it's basically a plagiarism shirt. Also this is an official request for Miles Teller to wear the Rooster moustache from Top Gun for all future roles, it's the only thing that can make him bearable to watch.

You get what the gist is in the opening five minutes. Unfortunately, there is another 80-some minutes that follows and doesn't really add much. Great premise that goes next to nowhere. Looks slick.

Sadistic evil billionaire playing with prisoners who received way too harsh sentences. This is a documentary about modern US, right?

This had sooo much potential and actually started of really well and interesting. But, as with many films.. The 3rd act.. oh the 3rd act, it kust crumbles down and ends like a high school play.. Sad..

Two things make this slightly more interesting and enjoyable than other, similar movies: the focus on affective pharmaceutical technologies, and the willingness to almost turn the whole thing into a comedy, acknowledging that insisting on being deadly serious runs counter to the rather silly setting, premise and characters. Hemsworth appears to be enjoying himself.

Kosinski teases a future where our minds are like the waiting room at a dentist’s office, as harmlessly anesthetized as one of Mangione’s smooth jazz runs. The apocalypse will go down easy.

Whoever casted Hemsworth as a genius scientist was perhaps thinking of a millionaire playboy and should definitely not work in movies anymore

Albeit predictable, it was enjoyable. Could have gone more hardcore and twisted, the plot surely allowed it, but alas.

its like when you order Black Mirror on wish.com. I also dont get how they thought Hemsworth is the right cast for the part and also i dont get how he and his agents thought it would fit his portfolio. meh

Could have been so much stronger than what we got! Netflix has pushed the boundaries before with these type of concepts, why is this one so weak? Hemsworth and Teller try their damndest to sell it but their acting couldn't save this lacking film.

This feels like a work-in-progress that they gave up on halfway through but released anyway. And I understand why they gave up, because I don't think it would have been great even if they finished it.

The first half of this is quite good, and then it isn't sure where it wants to go so it weaves about for a while before ending in a comedy chase sequence.

A movie that has no idea what it wants to do. The escape sequence at the end was particularly cringe.

Issız 1 ada cezaevinde yaşayan mahkumlar, 1 ilaç şirketinin kobay fareleri gibi kullanırlar. Amaçları, verdikleri ilaçlarla duyguları açığa çıkarmak. İlginç konusu, hızlı anlatım tarzı, harika setleriyle izleniyor. Chris Hemsworth slim fit takım elbisesiyle bol bulgeli oyunculuğu işi kıvırıyor. Orta karar 1 film. Biraz da The Fly'ı anımsattı. Filmin sonunda, Miles Teller ve Jurnee Smollett kaçar. Duygularım depreşti.

Decent dystopian film that could have been much better. It started out pretty strong, but then just went typical Hollywood with the ending, which seemed quite rushed as well. Not bad, but not that good either. On a side note...has the Smollett family name been tainted for anyone else, or is it just me? Every time I see it now I cringe

It tries so hard to be this over the top Black Mirror ripoff or something, but it's just boring and poorly directed and imagined.

As many have said it starts out promisingly, but as we got past the halfway mark it steadily went downhill. I still enjoyed the acting for the most part and the directing from Kosinski. Soundtrack was also pretty well chosen and the score felt on point. 5.9 w lots of room for improvement, but happy I popped it on. Interesting concept and mediocre execution.

While "Spiderhead" has its moments, it ultimately fails to live up to its potential. The strong performances of the cast are not enough to overcome the underdeveloped script and lackluster execution.

Extremely silly. It's a good thing that the actors carry the movie, because the script sure doesn't. So many open questions that never get answered. At least the plot unravels in a way that makes sense, so it's not a shit movie, just… alright, entertaining but nothing more.

Um filme com um plot e inicio muito interessante, mas que se torna muito cansativo da metade para o final.
