A glorification of modern machinery done in fine European style. Must admit I wasn't getting too involved in the story. Actually that part bored me. And the visual style was very on/off as far as making an impression, but when it was 'on' then it was quite interesting. Especially with the climax final moments of burning down of the old and the launch of the new, with a light somber touch to nature getting blown to pieces to make room for the dirty smoking factories.
