Wildly offensive movie that bizarrely thought it was a good idea to combine parodies of both Spy Kids and Hard Candy.

There was no greater joy at the movies than seeing Leslie Nielsen stunt doubles. Friedberg and Seltzer not in full dogshit garbage yet but they're tickling it.

A joke-a-second comedy. unfortunately that makes approximately 4,400 bad jokes in this piece of shit.

All I remember is Weird Al's head exploding in the beginning. I just checked the Film Info page, and the writers' names seemed familiar...I think they're the ones who are churning out those ______ Movie things. That should say it all.

Aaron Seltzer and the Friedbergs should be investigated for conspiracy to commit murder against parody.

There are very few comedies which inspired absolutely no reaction from me (even Beethoven gave me a great feeling of disgust). I felt cold, and I couldn't understand why the writers thought any of these lame, incredibly stupid jokes would work. It is probably one of the worst comedies ever made.

Spy Hard was one of the earliest examples of a pernicious trend that would kill the film parody genre stone dead: presenting material from other films instead of creatively flipping it. It is just assumed laughter will flow freely from randomly inserting 'parodies' in various vaguely related contexts. The sole exception is Weird Al's uproarious Bond parody in the title sequence, but it's ultimately misleading. There are some dumb laughs to be had courtesy of Nielsen, but even he can't save it.

"Spoof starring Leslie Nielsen" does not guarantee it'll be a great movie, and this was one of the first movies to show this. The title sequence (sung by Weird Al) is by far the best part of this film.

Everything falls apart after the title credits. Waste of a decent Weird Al song. Leslie Nielsen was too old to be cast in this role.

Do people who laugh at Naked Gun really not like this?! It seems to have the exact same kinds of humour, rotating through slapstick, sight gags, word play, and parodies (some of which are awfully topical and horribly shoe-horned in -- must've been Seltzer and Friedberg). Watched this thinking it was Hot Shots (EDIT: no, wait, I meant Top Secret).

It's hardly as bad as people make it out to be, but there is nothing good to note either. Spy Hard is a Leslie Neilson miss, with corny jokes that just don't land. Would have expected more from this, honestly.

A hit-and-miss, laugh-and-cringe parody with about 50% of each. So 50% seems like the appropriate score. For a long time I was convinced that this was written by Zucker-Abrahams, since the style is so familiar and it even reuses some of the exact same joke structures from the classic Airplane! But no, apparently the writers were just ripping off the better film.

I loved this when I was younger, less so now apart from a handful of moments. Everything suddenly becomes less amusing when you realise Friedberg & Seltzer are involved.

It's probably because of all those Scary/Super Hero/Epic Movies but upon reflection this one wasn't as abysmal as I remember it. Some of the jokes are genuinely funny in their sheer absurd stupidity. However I can't deny that a good portion of the jokes are just plain stupid without actually being funny. Highlight is certainly Weird Al's theme song.

Leslie Nielsen managed to parlay the success of the Naked Gun series into an endless stream of spoof films. I think all that remains is a spoof making fun of a spoof of spoof movies.

A fairly funny movie that kept a smile on my face through out most of it. It looked like Andy Griffith was having a lot of fun with his role. Many other better spoofs out there, but this is still better than most made today.

This only gets 25 points because I like Leslie Niesen (well, I liked him when he worked with the Zuckers and Abraham, everything else is shit). Whoops, my score has been amended because the names Aaron Seltzer and Jason Friedberg are attached to this movie and their presence alone negates any good will I had towards Mr. Nielsen. They do the "Stupid-Concept Unfunny-Movie" movies and I hope they die, the lousy fucks.

Leslie Nielsen brings a certain amount of charm to a movie an has yet to put on a performance that left me unhappy. So its no surprise that this movie was enjoyable and while not as good as his earlier work like the Naked Gun series or Airplane! It is still much better then his most recent outing 2001: a space travesty.
