Stargate SG-1: Children of the Gods - Final Cut

Shows promise, but not nearly as good as the series would become from season 2 on.

I suppose if I was only comparing this to other TV pilots, such as, say, the pilot for Small Wonder, I could give it a higher score. The dialogue, acting, and sets are all just too wooden (or Styrofoam) to take seriously.

does an excellent job in revisiting the movie and opens up that mythos to introduce the show. watched this as a kid and came back to it as an adult expecting it to be a mess, but i was impressed. it's got an interesting story and looks pretty good for a tv budget. the actors who play the guards in the first scene had me terrified that everyone would be as impossible to watch as them, but luckily the main cast does a fine job.
