Being a Dutch (shortish) movie, it of course features such charming things as: rampant alcoholism, boobs, puking, cheating, bloody tampons, emotional humiliation, creepy males and manipulative bitchy females. And despite Verhoeven's involvement it barely ascends the level of a soap opera scenario. Kind of a shame. Gaite Jansen's ridiculous attractiveness made up for a lot though.
