Strange Wilderness

Strange Wilderness is a very dumb comedy that has nothing else propelling it forward other than dumb comedy. If you like dumb comedy, then you'll probably find a lot to laugh at here. If you don't, then stay very clear as there isn't a single other thing here to watch for after you get past the jokes. Everything about this movie is awful, apart from the jokes, most of which I'm almost afraid to admit that I laughed at.

I don't care what people say, this is one of the funniest movies I have ever seen. Non stop laughter, a true comedic achievement. The most under-rated film of all time. Quite sad actually. Grade: A

Definitely funnier when stoned (like most things, I guess... Except the Holocaust). Moments that are meant to be funny but aren't are generally pretty awkward, but when the movie actually *does* manage to be funny, it's hilarious. Beyond these funny moments, though, there's nothing of any cinematic value whatsoever. Other than sharks.

I still say that the killing of Bigfoot (and the aftermath) in this movie is one the funniest deaths in any film. Add to that Justin Long's second set of eyelids and the 'whoa, ha, ha' shark voice over, and you have plenty of laffs. I will watch any film that features Steve Zahn.

Were some genuine LOLs here but somewhat of a dud, especially given the great cast.

Seems like this movie is cut from different scenes from different movies. Half of those scenes are funny and half of them are really bad.

Complete mess. Maybe one laugh.

Happy Madison, known for their dumb comedy, may have topped themselves with this wildlife TV show on the verge of cancellation go on a road trip seeking their saving grace with proof of Bigfoot. Take a bong rip, and lower your expectations before getting lost in a woods of stupid laughs.

Watch the trailer for the funniest parts and don't bother with the rest.

Horribly written and directed, but it makes you laugh a few times and that's much more than you can say about many Hollywood comedies.

(Viewed on 03/15): S.W is a Happy Madison film, which means it was probably thrown together on a lazy afternoon at Sandler's headquarters. The premise isn't actually bad, and Covert and Zahn have some chemistry as two dumb nature show hosts that have no real knowledge on the subject. As expected, it plays like a padded out skit, so jokes that actually land are few and far between, and there is too much random wackiness for its own good. Long's weird eyelids gag is hilarious though.

It is the perfect formula. An all star cast of up and coming comedians, and a plot that would easily allow them to let their comedy flow. So then why does it suck so bad? There is no chemistry, and the writing is some of the worst in years. It just sucks to have this cast and plot wasted on a film with such bad humor.

I like Steve Zahn, but this just isn't funny.

This film is extremely stupid, but I couldn't help but laugh at some points. Even still, Strange Wilderness is a poorly written comedy, with a plot that goes nowhere. You'd expect a cast like this it would be at least decent but it was pathetic.

It is so bad. So, so bad. I laughed the whole time.

Doesn't all work but, the clear ad-libbing and including of lots of genuine -so infectious- laughter made this pretty good for a late-night stoner comedy.

A worthless comedy that draaaaags.

Probably get more points than it deserves because I like Steve Zahn a lot. Not to say that it doesn't have some funny moments. It's basically just an incredibly stupid movie, with enough laughs to guide you to the end, but not enough to be actually good in any way.

I laughed more at how outrageously stupid it was than how good the actual jokes were.

Very limited laughing on my part when it came to this movie. However, the funky looking shark and sasquatch parts made me laugh hysterically. The rest of the movie is boring and unnecessary.

Be sure to take some Advil because your sides will be hurting.

I was so mad by the time I finished watching this.

This movie was made even more excruciatingly bad by all that wasted talent. I guess my hopes were just too high for this one.
