It's hard to watch a movie where someone is such a prick to dogs. And I hate when bad stuff happens to bunnies especially. But ignoring all of that, this is pretty funny. I was afraid that the R rating would just lead to some Sausage Party-type horseshit, but this was more clever. The voice acting was great casting. Ultimately, that it got a steady stream of laughs from me, including some big ones, is all that matters. I'm glad Doug got his dick bit off. Fuck that guy.

Are people just blinded here because "yay dog cute do funny things"? This is a piece of shit on a rare level that doesn't aspire to be anything other than a waste of 95 minutes and millions of dollars. At the risk of grasping the low-hanging fruit, isn't this a comedy? I watched with 12 people; 4 audible laughs. I counted. What else was I supposed to do with this failure in front of me? Actively works to "be offensive-funny" on the level of the try-hard 14-year-old desperate for shock attention.

STRAYS clears the low bar set by its own trailers, and offers a bit more than just incongruous vulgarity and musings on the gross things that dogs do. The premise wears thin rather quickly - we're all just biding our time until a promised act of vengeance in the grand finale - but some good bits are sprinkled across its 90 minutes, including a couple of great potshots at the kind of treacly Dog Movies to which this film is a mildly amusing antidote.

Foul mouthed non-stop cussing makes this a disaster for watching with the kids. But this is a KIDS MOVIE, so WTAF? I honestly don't know a single person who would actually enjoy this abomination. It's entirely immature stupidity. Not fun at all.

Desperate with the edgy joke, but at least it ends with one jaw full of justice!
