Stripped to Kill does not skimp on the strip scenes. There is more stripping in this movie than there is breaking in the movie Breakin. So plot points, 1. There's a lot of stripping. 2. There's a lot of lava lamps. 3. Norman Fell pays the strippers a salary. 4. I think there was a murder or something.

I was on board with the stripping scenes but then they became performance art pieces where the stripper is playing a spider etc and I was totally strapped in ready for anything. One of the strippers dances to this fucking song that sounds like something you'd put over spooky disney skeletons dancing to not yabbos shaking. They have a giant chest like red lobster where you just reach in and pull out your stripping theme.

This is MUCH better than considerably more famous strip club / crime film Striptease. Ok, so I didn’t care much at all about the murder mystery stuff, which is an issue for a whodunnit. But it had an entertainingly lurid sleaze to it, mixed with surprising atmosphere for a no-budget Corman flick; seems like some thought was put into differentiating the stripping scenes. Kay Lenz was very likable in the lead role. I doubt Onlyfans movies will become a subgenre like strip club movies did lol.

There are glimpses here of Katt Shea's talent as a writer/director, talent that she'd show more of in later projects. Zippy dialogue, rounded characters, a solid mystery, & a thoughtful look into how stripping can be both an empowering high & toxic addiction. Lenz & Evigan give good performances. Still, the romantic subplot between them is really lame, the finale is cartoonish nonsense, & about a third of the runtime is just stripping sequences. Not awful, but too uneven to be all that good.

A lot of stripping, some killing, very little plot. Props to Katt Shea for holding the dancers up as an art, but the plot such an after thought.
