Stryker (2004)

Winnipeg, Manitoba, has one of the world's largest aboriginal populations. In this gritty and often emotionally violent feature, activist-filmmaker Gonick partnered with celebrated cinematographer Ed Lachman to vividly dramatize the explosive underbelly of that Canadian city's Native community. Stryker, a fourteen-year-old fugitive arsonist from the Brokenhead First Nation reserve, becomes a pawn in the ongoing war between the Indian Posse and the Asian Bomb Squad.
