Study in Color and Black and White

Very sparse, not much to latch onto here. More like "study in black".

Minimalist Brakhage. It's kind of like the little splotches of color you see when you close your eyelids. Cool, but I want more.

Yet another great "painted light" piece from Brakhage.

Not exactly what it says in the title! Nonetheless, it's still an interesting and visceral watch with Brakhage utilising minimalism at its most minimalist. A bit derivative of some of his others film, however.

The only nice thing about Brakhage's hand painted films are the colours. Having more black screen just drowns them out rather than make them stand out.

Sometimes less is more
