Stunt Rock

Almost half of this "film" is made up of musical numbers and footage of stunts from other films. The other half is a poorly acted mockumentary about Grant Page teaching the world about stunt work. I'm not really a fan to the music and I don't like clip shows, so basically this thing just wasn't for me.

You get what the title says. There are stunts. And there is rock. There is no plot, really, but do you need a plot when you have STUNTS. AND ROCK. Well, you kind of do. That's why this movie drags on, though I did like both of the things in the title. It's just not quite enough to carry a movie for over an hour, buuut it wasn't horrible. That poor Mustang.

This might come across as too muddled for many viewers, and it's all in dubious taste. I found it pretty interesting myself. Why an ode to the stunt workers' art was conflated with this ridiculous heavy metal dork shit is beyond me, but I'm kind of alright with that? BTS' self-evident passion for educating the public about stuntwork is a strange indulgence, but.... it kinda works goddangit.

This is probably an unpopular opinion, but I prefer Deathcheaters to this. There's hardly any plot and it’s only a device to present stunts and Sorcery concert footage. Stunts are impressive, but some of them are recycled from earlier films/documentaries. Sorcery was ok, but their shtick started to repeat itself after a couple of numbers. Stuntman extraordinaire Grant Page is cool and would have deserved a better film to star in.
