It doesn’t dive too deep into Israeli culture, but the characters are better than most gay films, and the tone makes it pretty breezy and enjoyable.

I live a walking distance from most of the locations in this film, but I'm at a loss for anything particularly good or bad to say about it. It's a serviceable gay romance, but otherwise I don't think it does anything out of the ordinary.

Follows the blueprint for a recovery drama quite successfully, this time with local Tel Aviv color and the wish-fulfillment of its gay director. Nothing too annoying about that. Eytan Fox is a good, humanist filmmaker and maybe, if he could have dived deeper into the Israeli lifestyle, this small film would have made an impact.
