Sudden Money (1939) is for the most part a unremarkable comedy with Charles Ruggles in the center of events, winning at the lottery and losing it all in no-time. Almost too easy. For it's only a mild lesson in money doesn't necessary means happier. And it's in that simple charm the sweetness of Sudden Money (1939) lay. No life-changing experience, but a mild beating heart of what troubles easy cash brings.
