Suez is a well made movie with beautiful people, elegant settings and a nicely done sandstorm, but the vague story just doesn't hold it together. It's one of those historic ones where they make up a lot of the political pull and even more ridiculous love story which makes it just feels phony. While Tyrone Power & Loretta Young look amazing, the romance between them in this story is misplaced and just ruins the impression of the achievements the movie was supposed to tell.
