While not really a great action film it is much better than any of the other Suicide Squad films I've seen. I liked how fatalistic it was and the animation was pretty solid.

I can admire its uber-violent R-rated aesthetic and respect the dark gray moral ambiguity of the story it tells. Ultimately I found most of the character interactions as surface level as those in the live-action Suicide Squad movie and the story it told a bit ho-hum, though it did pick up near the end with a genuinely interesting plot twist involving Zoom.

Pretty bland, despite all the violence.

Even with the adult nature of this animated version of the Suicide Squad, I simply didn't care. The Suicide Squad struggles in a mainstream environment.

Thin plot, pointless subplots, boring or annoying B characters with plot armor. Still, I want them to make more R rated DC animated movies in this style. Extra note about how overused and lame Harley Quinn has become.

Actually really enjoyable, if kind of generic.

The concept of super-heroes are for sure religious. They are based on ancient heroic god and their stories, aren't they. But this animation underline the religiousness and believing the afterlife more than ever. The R lever violence surprised me a bit. But the concept was not exactly focused for viewers like me.

This has one of the best McGuffins in a superhero flick yet, although it only leads to a somewhat satisfying, if predictable ending.

There’s something for you here if you like the characters and it’s entertainingly violent. But this has never been a great story; unfocused on the page and even more so on screen. The screenplay is dire and jumps from cliche to pun and back again far too often. Probably one for fans only and it’s very rough round the edges.

I'm not a DC comics guy, so I freely admit to not knowing much about Suicide Squad. What I do know is that this movie did not suck. It was a little generically comic booky as many of these animated DC flicks are, but it passed the time in a completely non-objectionable fashion. They aren't kidding when they tell you up front that this is full of adult content.

Could be higher had it used the real, fat Amanda Waller.
