Sunny

Sunny (1941) is a updated version of the 1930 film by the same name. But even with the advances in technology, it doesn't beat the original. Much to do with me not being sold on Anna Neagle, whereas it was Marilyn Miller's, of the 1930 film, signature role. While the 1941 version has a solid cast, some fine performances, it becomes so stuffy with ideas that it gets more on your nerves than making it the joy spreader the film is supped to be.
