Supeerdeep

If you have the ability to watch SUPERDEEP in its native language with subtitles, I suggest you do that. I watched a screener that gave me limited options, so I wasn't allowed to see anything other than an English dub, which was unfortunate because that was annoying and made the acting look bad...when I think it was fine if only I saw it in its original language - the film on its own is actually pretty interesting. A little cheaper on the production, but they handled their limited budget well

It contains some very interesting lovecraftian concepts but doesn't really get to exploit them all that much

This is a heavy handed horror movie with horrible bombastic music. The runtime is about twice as long as it should be. The plot was difficult to enjoy. The gory monster was gross and unimpressive. I liked the somewhat poetic ending. Overall, it was not very immersive and the soundtrack was often an annoying cacophony of sound. Worthwhile, but only just barely.

Watched the original russian version, not the English dub.
