The real title should have been Stupid-Sleuth! A detective spoof as egomaniac actor Jack Oakie boasting of being better at solving crime then the cops. Well, when the chief of police is Edgar Kennedy he might have a point. The film is pure nonsense of course. A loose work ethic type comedy just clowning around, probable quite a bit of ad lib, hoping it would be funny. And for the most part it worked in a B-comedy way. And the climax scene in the 'house of murders' got me laughing hard.
