[Partial YT] Like all good brainwashing material it's a mixture of sound advice, citation-free 'facts' and outright lies. An example of how contempt for and fear/suspicion of the public -most strikingly immigrants and the mentally ill- are instilled in the police.

An incredibly useful resource. Before this film I had no idea how many knives were existing in my daily life without me knowing. But now I am prepared to be absolutely terrified by every last one of them.

There is only one quote that does this video justice. "Surviving Edged Weapons is the Citizen Kane of 90's VHS instructional tapes." Jay Bauman, 2017.

It was the manic Satan worshipper that pushed this over the top – while this is not a “movie” in the traditional sense, outside of its value of falling into near THE ROOM level hysterics, it’s also interesting as a portrait of full-blown quivering paranoia that is simultaneously sad and chilling if given a moment’s thought; no wonder there are so many itchy trigger fingers if a lethal safety pin is going to be coming at you at any moment! Worthless as “cinema”, but a worthy historical artifact.

An earnest and horrible training video that opens with caveman knife murder. If that doesn't make you want to watch it then you wouldn't enjoy it anyway.

Copaganda training video that has unintendedly funny dramatic recreations of cops meeting suspects with knifes. Maybe the makers of this video wanted move up in the filmmaking ladder and start making action films for Cannon films. Who knows what the original intentions were but this is some grade-A paracinema.

No wonder cops shoot so many innocent people. They're afraid that they'll be attacked with a knife or a medieval sword or a hat with razor blades attached to it at any moment.
