Entertaining B movie. The strong supporting cast helps keep this hilarious.

A loose take on the premise and a fairly enjoyable b-thriller where logic is out the window. The action and performances are fun, if cheesy, and I'd say it's often let down by a dated and messy score. Characters are set up for arcs that never go anywhere and there's implied substance that's never realised, which is a shame; because there's more character development here than you'd expect from the genre. A fun trashy watch, but also wasted potential. The cast are probably the main highlight.

Not perfect by any means, the ending is silly and a lot of the dialogue is cheesy but I enjoyed this as a decent adaptation of The Most Dangerous Game with some good suspenseful moments and good action moments that aren't overdone (except towards the end).

Typical action film but plays tribute and homage to the "Most Dangerous Game" kind of genre. The Major Characters grow while the rest of the characters are there to move the plot and serve a small role. There could be more action, the story is overused, the cliche's weren't that bad, bit clever in some places and overall it was quite entertaining and some points in the film were pretty interesting and cool. I recommend seeing it to be entertained at the least.

This is an interesting movie. If you took this exact script but did a bad casting job, it would be absolute garbage. But when you cast Gary Busey, John C. McGinley and Ice-T, you have an instant masterpiece of sleaze. Worth the watch just for Gary Busey's insane monologue, which could very well just be an actual story from his childhood for all we know.

Surviving The Game's premise is a ludicrous spin on The Most Dangerous Game, but this is unfortunately not the worst aspect of the movie. The atrocious screenplay makes for ridiculously awful dialogue and a story that doesn't really go anywhere.

Dumb action take on "The Most Dangerous Game", updated with automatic weapons.

Not quite bad enough to be interesting, but it's a derivative, woefully miscast effort, nonetheless. F. Murray Abraham fell a long way after winning his Oscar for Amadeus (he has one scene of grief-stricken "screaming" here that is utterly hysterical).

Interesting spin on the "sociopaths that hunt people" story, but Mason is way too resourceful for not knowing anything about wilderness survival. And a blocked gun barrel does not create a fiery explosion.

Story is pretty cliche but passable. However the movie itself is either monstrously contrived, nonsensical or outright stupid (and sometimes all three). A decent cast is wasted on this film. Why does Mason survive? What makes him different? Why do the hunters seem to only want to kill him when they can't and when they can kill him only want to miss profusely? On the plus side Busey gets to tell a story about his scare which is so unintentionally comedic it's a definite film highlight.

Not as bad as I thought that this was going to be. Quite a quality cast for this. I thought it would have been better if Ice T wouldn't have had that many lines. When he spoke, it didn't feel or seem natural. In the action scenes he wasn't so bad though. Some decent but predictable action and some pretty tense moments which make this a decent little action film. It sure looked like it was fun to make anyway.

Is this the best adaptation of this idea? No. Is it the worst? Probably (edit: It features a lot less rape than The Suckers, so no, it is not). Is it worth watching at all? Look at that cast, man. Mozart hater, Dr. Cox, The Hitcher, Roc, ButtNuts, and a cop killer.

Cool story: I actually watched this during a week I spent locked up in juvie when I was 16. I remember being shown this, and Reservoir Dogs. This got a rousing ovation, RD was mercilessly booed by all the wiggers and budding career criminals. So there you go. BTW stay in school, don't do drugs, etc.

Seen "The Most Dangerous Game?" Then you've seen this. Rutger Hauer gives a good performance if a bit hammy (when is he not?) and Ice-T does fine as well. It's just hardly original.
