Sushi Girl

Luke Skywalker, John Connor, Atreyu, the Candyman, Machete, a naked girl lying on a table, and Sonny-fucking-Chiba. In theory, this movie should be the most Earth-shattering convergence since the planets of the solar system aligned and killed off the dinosaurs, the Mayans, and chupacabra. The only thing that shook, however, were my bowels. I knew I shouldn't have eaten the fugu from that girl's camel-toe. This movie is to the Expendables as children's Tylenol is to Wild Turkey. Suck that SATs.

Entertaining enough little crime-suspense/thriller, full of familiar faces that elevate the film from being just another low-rent "Reservoir Dogs"(1992) knock-off/"Lucky Number Slevin"(2006) mutant. Although, Mark Hamill having fun playing a quasi-Philip Seymour Hoffman's "Truman Capote"(2005) as a criminal psychopath, is easily the biggest reason to watch this hour plus torture interrogation movie

There are a lot of great character actors in this film unfortunately most of them are wasted. This movie wanted to be "Usual Suspects", "Reservoir Dogs", "Suicide Kings" and while the film is entertaining it doesn't reach the heights of any of the aforementioned films.

In all honesty I watched this film to see Mark Hamill. It was worth watching just for him. Otherwise this movie was pretty stupid. I have to give Cortney Palm credit for basically laying flat on a table with Sushi on her naked body for almost the entire duration of the film. I love Tony Todd's deep menacing voice also. I guess my biggest complaint was that this movie was too simple. It's basically an hour long torture scene with a slight twist at the end. Hamill though, wow. I liked him.

Cool little low budget thriller made with a bunch of well known actors. Really enjoyed Todd, and Hamill in his over the top wacky role. I think I might actually like sushi if it was served this way as a standard ;

Has style, but no sense of execution or gravitas. Ends up disjointed and dull.

Sushi Girl is the Reservoir Dogs of 2012. Honestly it even looks like an early (good) Quentin Tarantino film! It's tight! It all takes place in one room (like Reservoir Dogs) as thieves (like Reservoir Dogs) reunite albeit 6 years after a heist gone wrong. Their mission is to interrogate their former comrade who just got out of prison, and find the missing diamonds. Their backstory is told by intercuting flashbacks (like Reservoir Dogs) while the main story works itself to an explosive climax!

My first thought was what is this crap, my last thought was what is this crap. I switched it off after 20 minutes, I don't think it got any better
