I was surprised by how good Amber Heard was in this movie she did a damn good job.

Great idea. Perfect cast, but the script could use some work regarding story and character arc.

Great idea but a bit poor execution. To be honest, first 20 minutes looks like total crap. A. Heard's 'image' definitelly sells. S.Fernandez however, is total casting miss.

Syrup is a facetious satire on consumerism and marketing (take a shot everytime that word is used). Unfortunately, the film is more awkward than it is funny. The dialogue is too unnatural and staged, and I wasn't won over by the performances.

Despite it was not the very great marketing movie, but I have enjoyed the story line and the act.

Like College Student's Thesis Film Project. Just with 6 Million Dollar Budget. It has all the ear-markings. Unnecessary Narration, Pretentious and Vulgar Dialog with Sunday School Messages in Every Single Sentence. Long Meaning and Irrelevant Glances. Total Political Correctness. And Pretty Much Nothing Else!

Amber Heard was the perfect choice for a film that focused on image and sex appeal. She is very appealing on every level, from her talent to her beauty. This role was made for her, but despite her perfect casting the film never really took off. Certain aspects of the film were alright, like when Scat and 6 talked directly to the audience, but the in between stuff felt rushed and over chaotic. It became messy and convoluted. A fine performance from Amber Heard in this one, but that is about it.

weird. and dumb at times, but cute. probably due to amber heard hotness. the ending ruined it for me, though.
