Tall in the Saddle

Relatively early John Wayne flick, certainly not one of the most memorable. It's supposed to be serious but is rather melodramatic in places and now seems to have excerpts of the Clampit family running through it. Black and white adds character. Wayne officionados will like it but otherwise probably pass..

This was hilarious! All about the characters and their wonderful reactions to the trouble they're in! A John Wayne western after he'd finally become a big star, so this had the production values and talent behind the camera to make a enchanting movie. One of the big highlights of the not-so-western year of 1944. Delightfully simple!
