Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby

This movie may look like a bunch of nonsense and pointless dribble, but as it turns out, Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby is sure to take a throne next to other classic comedies like Anchorman and Happy Gilmore. Will Ferrel does an ostounding job as Ricky Bobby, #1 driver in NASCAR who is challenged when his manager hires a Frenchmen as a teammate. After many troubles both personally and professionally, its up to Ricky himslef to pull through and come out victorious. Top notch comedy.

This cast is fantastic. Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly are awesome together and Sacha Baron Cohen brings some great scenes. I think this movie's brand of comedy is just absolutely hilarious. My only problemsis that there were a few moments when I thought how long is this movie?

Hilarious in some parts but the loudness (both visual and auditory) does grow tiresome rather quickly. Baren Cohen is perfectly suited to the role of a ridiculous villain.

Maintains the same comic energy as Anchorman while grounding itself in something closer to reality; it gets an extra shot in the arm by Sacha Baron Cohen, who is dependably hilarious, and John C. Reilly, who is a deliriously funny sidekick. I like it lots.

Nowhere near as good as Anchorman -- Lacking the surrealness or the splendid supporting characters.

Ugh. One ugly, unfunny movie (at least when Sacha Baron Cohen is NOT on screen). It has a couple quotable lines, but mostly falls into another failed Ferrell-being-Ferrell-in-a-weird-occupation comedy.

Effing stupid.

This movie isn't trying to be anything more than laugh out loud funny as much as possible during its running time and it's pretty damn good at this. Will Ferrel is in top form and Sacha Baron Cohen, John C. Reilly and the rest of the supporting cast are able to do what they each do best as this movie really lets the actors have free reign. The result is more like a long comedy sketch than a narrative film, but I have no problem with that when it remains funny, as it does in this case.

This movie is absolutely halarious. Will Farrel does a great job in this movie playing a nascar driver. You seriously wont find a scene you arent laughing in it.

A disappointing performance by Sasha Cohen. Shake and Bake make a hilarious tandem and the two kids in this movie provide great laughs.

I did not plan on seeing this for I figured it would be a mockery of NASCAR. I watched it anyway. My bad... Will Ferrell is not funny in my opinion. His comedy leaves me cold. The movie was stupid, childish and foul. There were few laugh lines in this one....

Surprisingly bright comedy, with an inspired cast embracing cartoon archetypes. Some inspired improv riffing from some of the best in the business. Will Ferrell shouldn't work without Adam McKay again, "Bewitched" notwithstanding.
