Tarzan Triumphs

Having watched several of these in a row, the formula's glaring & I'm not sure how else to grade this except to say it gave viewers what they liked. & back then, well before you'd even dream of seeing these things at home, formula makes alot of sense. This one's distinctiveness is its attempt to suggest it might replace Jane with Zandra (Jane would be pissed at you getting so chummy, Tarzan); and Nazis! Surprisingly Tarzan never delivers a cathartic Nazi kill even though Boy kills one w/ a gun!

Pretty cheap anti-Nazi propaganda movie in the serial.

Yarzan takes on Nazis again, I can't blame him for wanting to fight Nazis, especially in 1943, but they at least could have put a little effort into writing this movie.

Tarzan and Johnny Weissmuller moves to the RKO, which means a few big changes. The biggest being NO Jane! So weird watching a Tarzan movie without Maureen O'Sullivan. But there's no denying Frances Gifford made for a more appetizing jungle girl. The plot was a very so-so, but what lifted this up was it being more action packed than the last few MGM Tarzan films. Became rather exciting at a few points.
