I don't think that the director can create deep details and well-structured multi-character drama as his influence movie "Yi Yi" by Yang, but nevertheless the dramatic structure is not that unsatisfying. Acting was one weak point in the movie and also the father's character. What may be worthy is that through distanced narration he claims that there is always a hidden and implicit reality in life and was the last scene a reference to Antonioni's "Passenger"?

a little disappointment.

A portrait of a Turkish family during one summer. We have here an overbearing farther, a rebellious elder son wishing to leave the Military Academy against his will, an unsuccessful uncle willing to give life advice and a small kid with problems typical to his age. Unfortunately, it all doesn't fit together into something especially interesting.
