Great performance from Copley. The film is rather bland, with not enough focus on Ted's background motives and manifesto. His time at Harvard and the experiments are conveniently left out.

The movie smartly keeps you feeling Ted's own sense of isolation; his point of view is almost always maintained to the point we only know what he knows about the outside world. It really pays off in the end when he's captured and you feel the shock and awe of it the way he must have. Copley is perfectly cast, and I would argue this is his best performance. Still, the movie is very slow, over long, dull at times and even frustrating, which makes it a solid, but not stellar, thriller biopic.

The movie presented Ted Kaczynksi with a sort of understanding and a lack of judgement. It was calm, unpretentious and non-demanding, very visual and told a story through emotions, scenery and sounds, rather than words.

Focuses no a small portion of Kaczynksi's life, right before he decides to start bombing. Not bad, not great.

It's fairly entertaining. But still I would instead recommend reading the manifesto instead

"Ted K" is a mixed bag that doesn't quite live up to its potential as a portrayal of an infamous killer. While it has some intriguing elements and committed performances, it ultimately falls short due to a tedious screenplay and a lack of truly engaging storytelling.

Paul Bettany did a MUCH more enthralling Ted, even if it wasn't an accurate characterization...and that's all I could think about while watching this. While Copley does a great job at mimicking Ted's voice and mannerisms, it's harder to listen to and watch compared to Bettany. Visually, it's a rather creative film--heavy on the Safdi brothers influence. Manhunt heightened Ted's genius to martyr status while this film accentuates his flaws. Good film but also felt a bit empty.
