Teddy Bear

"Dennis", a perfectly serviceable short in its own right, introduced us to a sympathetic character whose fate left me wondering whether his story needed to be expanded upon. My doubts were confirmed in its rather uneventful first half, only to be put to rest as our emotionally stunted, soft-spoken giant ultimately finds the confidence to turn his life around. Simple but sweet.

As such I really like. Dennis is a great character and I wish the best for him. However, it is very slow and all in all too little is going on; this is probably a side-effect of this originally being a short film that was then turned into a full feature length film.

Pretty simple movie with an interesting unique character

Given his size, Kold is the kind of actor who you expect to see in action films, and he has appeared in small roles in "Star Trek" and "Fast and Furious" films. He's a real revelation. He has to essentially carry this film since he's in every scene, and he really embodies this character, who is so shy you inadvertently end up feeling bad for Kold himself. It's a small movie about a man achieving small victories in life.

Nice movie, but veeeeery slow.
