If you know Tekken the video game and you enjoy martial arts movies, well, even then it is no better than "barely watchable".

That was a silly, silly movie - and I enjoyed it. Admittedly I did play a bit too much Tekken 3.

I think the porno version of tekken would of had a better plot/story and more 1 on 1 action with the girls of tekken

This is basically Bloodsport without the excuse of being from the 80s. Everything is smothered in huge clichés and the fight scenes are not very impressive. The only good thing is the amazing looking women with their skanky outfits which probably belong more in soft core porn.

I liked Tagawa in it, but even then mostly because he reminded me of the Mortal Kombat film. As fighting game movies go, it's not that bad, but it doesn't stand up on the standards of a film.

I played quite bit of the Tekken video game as a child. As far as video games turned into movies this wasn't bad. There was a plot and character development but it stuck to the basic story of the game. The writters tried to include abit of subsistance.

Jin, a young man trained by his mother in the art of fighting and who takes whatever work, legal or otherwise, is going in their near future dystopian society. This is an earth where nation have ceased to exist and instead corporations run different sections of the globe. One of these corporations is Tekken, run by Heihachi Mishima, and while some are provided for the slums are overflowing and opportunities are few. Before long Jin runs foul of the law under Tekken and they come looking for him.

For the uninitiated it's the definition of mediocre martial arts/action film. For the fan again it doesn't hit the right spot, too much nonsense, too few fights and although not bad, generic fights at that. Lastly it should be renamed Jin-the movie.

Profoundly dull film version of the game. The fights are dull, the action is dull, the story is dull. The only thing that isn't dull is the lighting which reminded me of video games back when coloured lighting was a new feature and everything was bathed in greens and purples for no reason. If you really liked the games then maybe the familiarity with the characters will be enough to delude you into thinking this is a good film, but you'd be wrong.

It actually started off pretty promising I thought. I thought, "Hey, why does everyone hate this? This isn't so bad." Then the movie proved me wrong. The plot became stupid, fights became dull, acting was always kinda bad anyway. Just a shit movie.

Tekken's in my all-time top 10 favourite pastimes, so I was looking forward to seeing a ridiculous movie adaptation of it; figured it couldn't be worse than the second Street Fighter movie. Fortunately, it isn't, but it's still an objectively bad movie that doesn't draw anywhere near enough from its source material. Enough of that GGS; Tekken has an absurd amount of moves for every character--why not use them in the film? And where're Xiaoyu and Panda at, hm?

So a video game movie should try to appeal to either, or both of; fans of the video game series, who might be the only ones who watch it, and the mainstream public. This film fails to match either level. It's just a really uninteristing Hunger Games lite (which is Battle Royale lite) plot that is low budget, so the mainstream won't care. For the game audience, it bears little resemblance to the source material, and too few characters from the games. The ones that aren't there don't match, either

Harkens back to the badly written, badly acted, but oddly thrilling action movies that were staples of basic cable in the mid-90s.

Christie qui bat Nina.... bah non. Pourquoi les actrices ressemblent toutes à des pornstars ? Juste pour Gary Daniels en Bryan Fury, ça c'était excitant !
