Temptation

A movie with an allure and fine cast, but ultimately leaves a little to be desired compared to its potential. Merle Oberon was naturally the center of attention, with second billing going to her gowns. Maybe not, but they did get a special credit. She was surrounded by elegant men and the play was good. Just lacked that extra edge in the darker aspects to really elevate it beyond the usual costume drama stuff.
