I can't help feeling cheated, like someone took the ending from the original story and traded it for $24 worth of beads and trinkets.

And then there was Fabian.

Very 60s... It doesn't really have anything to recommend it - except for the excellent novel on which it was based, of course. So check out these instead: 1. And Then There Were None from 1945 - 2. The mini series by the same name from 2015 - 3. The Russian version from 1987

A cinematic landmark for being made during the two weeks that Fabian had a career.

The movie's production values aren't that great and the acting ranges from very good to rather bad, but the strength of the story carries this film and makes it enjoyable enough.

Very good book with lots of movie potential, but it isn't nearly eerie enough for today.

I imagine it might have been good when it came out, but it just didn't age well. The acting isn't great, sometimes the music seems out of place, and the story, while the ending surprised me, didn't really intrigue me. Not bad, just not worth the time.

One of my fave Agatha Christie adaptions, very 1960's in style & atmosphere, it even has Fabian as the young singer accused of being a drunk driver. This version of the mystery focuses on a romance between two of the characters which alters the somewhat cold viewpoint of the Christie book. Christie is so focused on depicting the perfect crime that she forgets the need for SOME sympathetic characters. So I prefer this film's outlook.

The Whodunnit break really spoiled the flow.
