Gianni Garko plays bounty hunter Django who is more vulnerable than Franco Nero's original character. Claudio Camaso (Gian Maria Volonte's brother) plays the antagonist Manuel with plenty of mascara and Fernando Sancho his father. They both have juicier roles than usual. As do the ladies Loredana Nusciak and Adriana Ambesi in their brief but important roles. There's a powerful twist in the middle which turns the film into tragedy. Nora Orlandi's beautiful score sets the mood.
