It is a little saddening that Don Levy's student short is a far superior and forward thinking work than his feature film Herostratus (1967), but it's true. It is a silly parody of Cambridge university life, but the sense of joy in manipulating images, using as many in-camera techniques as he could cram, gives the film an anarchic streak which is far less po-faced and stodgy than Herostratus, and could have been an improvement.
