I felt nothing during this movie. I wasn't amused or thrilled or excited or scared. I wasn't annoyed or angry or frustrated, either... I just didn't care. The first big car chase was pretty good, and I liked the ending, but overall the movie did absolutely nothing for me.

Some great action sequences (wrecking ball truck chase and bathroom terminator fight) that push the movie from mediocre to good. With that said the plot has sequel seeping from all orifices. The plot is nothing above average but the action gives it that little edge. Don't go expecting anything else and you should be entertained.

Gets a lot of hate but really it's a solid film. The car chase scene rivals anything in T1 and T2, yeah I said it. They literally destroy an entire street of buildings, cars, whatever. It's awesome. There wasn't a sense of hopelessness that you find in T2 though, Arnold is just too much of a badass for Kristanna Loken. But I appreciate her showing the ass, was nice.

Some improved visual effects and a really good ending save this from being disappointing. The story is no match for the first two films and that's why people hate this movie so much. It's not terrible, and I would say it's worth a watch if you saw the first two films. It's definitely not nearly up to par with the action and story-telling that made the originals so good though.

I enjoyed Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines. To call it the best in the series would be to lie, but to call it the most fun might not require you to stretch the truth. Granted, there's little real intellect to the story and the characters are just there, not developing or being fleshed-out, but the action scenes were better than ever and the jokes actually made me laugh quite a bit. It's a lot of fun if you don't compare it to the earlier Terminator films.

Having seen the trainwreck that is T:Genisys, I began to think maybe this isn't so horrible after all. A rewatch confirmed my suspicions--T3 is by far the superior film. It's not great, but it's not nearly as bad as that horrible first impression we all got when it hit the big screen. The action sequences make the movie; they are numerous, unique and suspenseful. It definitely could've done without the comic tone, but altogether it's an entertaining watch.

The spectacle can't be denied, the car chase puts Fast and Furious movies to shame. But the story has nothing new to tell and simply recycles T2 again while failing to fix the one thing everyone agreed could be improved about that movie - the annoying John Connor character. And again I think it's the way he's written, doesn't matter if it's Nick Stahl or Edward Furlong or Hayden Christensen or Jake Lloyd playing him.

Jonathan Mostow takes Cameron out of every single frame and replaces him with a bunch of generic pow, a forgettable villain, too much humor, and a strong lack of storytelling. T1 and T2 were made so well, so dark, and meant something. This movie entertains with what it can, but it isn't in the same universe as the others. The ending somewhat redeems an otherwise ineffective sequel made for B-movie pleasures, and while it's not terrible by any means, it loses the story's impact and importance.

Not long ago, I watched this movie again and was shocked to find it's not nearly as bad as I remember it. It's got some weak characterization for sure but Ah-nuld's entertaining like mad in this movie. He plays it up for laughs and for the most part, the movie works as a result. It's not a movie to take seriously but it's certainly not a bad movie either.

Not that bad in retrospect. Funnier than I remember, as it is not afraid to make fun of itself. First chase scene is quite impressive. John Connor isn't nearly bad ass enough while Claire Danes gets to take over in that regard. Their relationship is missing vital pieces. I think it was written for a direct sequel which never came. T101 doesn't really act smart when protecting his assets.

In the context of the previous two (far superior) movies, I hate it, because it deep-sixed their self-contained, complete story and pulled a 180 on their theme - no fate but what we make, not "Judgment Day is inevitable," you assholes! That said, taken as its own thing, it's an entertaining, well-directed action movie. But in my heart, T1 and T2 is the complete and only story. This is an alternate universe what-if.

Not as good as the first two movies, but not bad either. I liked the movie, it went on in the style of the first two movies. The same kind of action, the same sort of humour. And though all the action scenes were superbly directed and filmed, I thought it was a "bit" exaggerated sometimes. But: I loved the first two movies, I loved this movie.

Wasn't as bad as I'd expected. I mean, the crux of the plot shits all over T2's core philosophy, but if you can look past that then the ending of this movie is absolutely perfect. The script has a few solid ideas (like the machines hitting up John's friends and allies before he even knows they exist) and dialog made almost entirely out of old Arnold one-liners. Stahl is the biggest surprise, as he really nails the role. The main flaw is in the music, which too often feels goofy and out-of-place.

Very little to write home about in this one. The action is pretty standard with only a few pieces that stand out, the cgi is overused, and the script is just plain bad. You're better off watching the first two again than watching this as it doesn't deliver emotionally as much as the first two do.

With massive nuclear blasts in the opening shot, this one should have been easy to hammer home. Instead T3 runs itself head first into the inevitable wall of yet again trying to reinvent the terminator. It's not all bad, Loken did a pretty decent job, and Arnie is Arnie, but if you have this on DVD, you'll infinitely more entertained by Arnolds commentary, and one absolutely awesome deleted scene featuring Sgt. Candy!

If you ask me, this series should have ended with T2. This 3rd Terminator comes across as a cash in for Schwarzenegger and the producers and that is really it. The movie seemingly ignores the events of T2 and acts as though Sarah and co. never even saved the world in the first place. Well, the new terminator was pretty hot. Other than that the acting was terrible and the writing and plot are generic, the ending was forced as well.

I look at this as the true sequel to T2 (yes, fuck Dark Fate and Genisys) this isn't great, but it's at least decent. You'll come up short for reasons to say it's on the level of the first two on its own. Especially since you run into recycled plot ideas, some affects that belong in the 90's, a sizable step down in a villain, and isn't quite as coherent as the first two. If you stop the comparisons though, there is a decent little action movie under this, even if it's hard to see.

The action is excellent (see the ridiculously destructive early car chase) and the humour is okay, but the whole thing starts to feel like a re-tread of the previous two installments, minus the beating heart passion and bad-assery provided by Hamilton's Sarah, who is sorely missed (John's voiceover musings don't have quite the same impact). The unexpectedly melancholic ending is poignant though and provides the sort of unique and provoking additional content needed for a franchise's third film.

This fails to live up to T2, which is an absolute masterpiece. This story honestly didn't need to be told, so going into it you're already thinking it's a pointless sequel. Having said that, the film isn't terrible for what it is. There are decent action sequences, and relatively decent story-telling, and it's better than the films that came after it in the series. But, final verdict: didn't need to be made.

They like to say it was "highly anticipated," but this seemed unnecessary. Also, it seems to completely negate the central philosophy of T2 (that the future isn't set) (and whoa, I'm a bit surprised I just used "T2" and "central philosophy" in the same sentence). However, it is still good entertainment that I wouldn't mind watching again.
