Terror Creatures from the Grave

Less than the sum of its gothic-y parts. The whole thing looks and feels like a lifeless (heh) episode of Dark Shadows. We don't even get to see the titular creatures, for crying out loud! For Barbara Steele superfans only.

Campy and low budget, yet at the same time I really liked it. Creepy and effectively shot with a nice gothic atmosphere and good cast. Just don't expect to see much of these "terror creatures." The version I rented (slightly longer dubbed U.S. version) was in absolutely terrible condition, but I've read it's out now in HD on Blu-ray. This should be a cult classic if it's not already.

The film has a very good Gothic atmosphere, the B&W really adds to the feel. A beautifully shot chilling mystery that works well even without really ever showing anything.

Average Italian gothic with Barbara Steele. A little too generic for its own good, but there's some striking photography.
